Has anyone installing the IP Office Partner system come across any issues with the integration with Paging? (Bogen)
We have yet to find one working scenario that can be repeated at another site. We have given up trying to reuse older paging and at this point are ordering all new paging equipment and even running new wire. In all cases we have used an amp, upam, horn or speaker and tried connection through combo cards, phone station ports and ETR. We have confirmed all the connections on the Bogen end are correct yet still we are not getting a working system. In one case we were able to get everything to work but in every other case we have not (following the same steps). In some cases we get it to page over the speakers but not the phone sets. In other cases we dont get enough volume and we have all the volume setting to the max. We have also confirmed we have the proper ampage for the individual setups. I have confirmed with Tier 3 that there is an issue but the hard line stance from Avaya is if we get tone from the port its not an Avaya issue. All I can tell you is if I set Paging up in the same fashion on IP Office (not the Partner version) I absolutely have no issues. Any thoughts or suggestions are appreciated.

Thanks

Hey, not sure if you have resolved this issue yet but what I have been using with all of my installations to interface to existing and new paging amps is the good old PagePal.

Used to be manufactured by Lucent but now owned by Valcom.

Model number V-5335700. Haven't tried it specifically with the Partner edition since all of mine have been the M-LAW IP500V2 set ups using mixed digital and analog ports. Assign an analog port as an IVR Port under the extensions tab and plug in the PagePal. Work flawlessly so far with every setup I've done so far.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the input. We spent the week testing in our lab and finally found a working combination with all new paging equipment. We still have not been able to find any working combination when trying to reuse older existing paging devices. We tried out the new UTI Bogen product that replaced the UPAM but the configuration that finally worked was IPO Partner edition, analog station port configured for loud speaker page, 100 Watt Amp (with specific connections)to the horns. We have come across the PagePal but we have not been able to get it to work successfully with the IPO Partner edition. IPO we have found success with just about every scenario. Thanks again for responding.
