I have an IP Office rls 8.0.44 PRI,NI2,Digital Sets. I need to send "Unknown Number" from the IP Office when making a phone call. As well I'm sending the DID number and BTN and that part works.

Can someone help me with the "Unknown Number" part please.

Thanks

I think I can help you with this.

If you want to do this for one phone

Under IP office > User > select the extension number > short code > add

Then change
Code: ?
Telephone No: .w

Just make sure that your , the company that handles the phone lines, support this function.

I believe that the IPO do send Unknown as default when just making a normal outgoing call.
But if Twinning is involved then IPO normally sends out what it has received on the incoming call and you can adjust from Unknwon to National by using the i character.

Regards Lodde

IPO cannot send Unknown, it can only send withheld by using the w character in the short code (they are different)
unknown can only be generated at the network level & is used when the call originates from a location that cannot provide CLI information, certain countries fro instance.

Do things on the cheap & it will cost you dear

What problem are you having. I have a couple location where we have to change the PRI from sending "National" to "unknown". usally older central office switches. See tech tip 212. Add the string mentioned to the nouser source code
"NI2_CALLED_PARTY_TYPE=UNKNOWN"
I have several systems in R7.0 and R 8.0 where I do tyhis.
