I would like to set up a group of conference call lines (500-526), but am only allowed to add a maximum of 13 in the menu. If I add more, they won't check and then disappear when I OK out and come back in. What would cause a limited number of conference call extensions? Is it a licensing issue or a limit on the number of menu options?

I am adding them through Voicemail Pro 2.1 through the Specific Start Points - Short Codes - ConfCalling interface.
If any further info is needed, let me know!

Thanks,
Mike

I have setup the call flow using the setup described above by Ron. The only weird thing is that I have to hit # before entering the conference number. If I just enter the number it just sits there until it times out, or if I hit more numbers it hangs up (I would guess that is expected). So, why the # BEFORE the conf number can be dialed?

Thanks! Getting really close now :)

Mike

I don't have that problem. type excatly how you have it set up so I can see it, you'll probably see the error while typing.

Call comes in on DID/800 number.
Call hits menu action (enter conference ID)
caller enter their 7 digit phone number.
call hits email action (sends email to billing ext 501 had conf call.)
call hits transfer point (transfer to 501)

I have tried making account codes in IPO and making them the same as the customers phone number. Tried attaching account codes by using them as a pin number to the transfer action. I just need some way to sort this in Delta server or CCC

Do you think it would be possible to make a custom report to track short codes with CCC? Transfer to 501, pull a CCC report for short code 501....I dont know...I am frazzled...

Here is the setup:

Setup the following in IP Office Manager...
-Setup a shortcode of ConfCalling2 (Telephone Number: #Conf_test, Feature: VoiceMailNode).
-Setup Incoming Call Route with a destination of ConfCalling2.
-Setup all of the conference numbers as shortcodes with Feature ConferenceMeetMe.
Setup the following in the Voicemail Pro Admin...
-Setup Shortcode called Conf_test.
-Added a Menu with the Conference wav on Entry Prompts and ??? in the Touch Tone tab.
-Added a Transfer with just $KEY for Destination on the Specific tab.

That should be everything... I just don't see the problem.

Thanks!
Mike

I don't think underscore is a valid character and I don't see why you need the # in the telephone number. Take it out and try it. Your set up is very different than mine. I would have to test it.

Thanks Ron...

Seems to make no difference. I did notice that if I wait until the message finishes ("Enter your Conference Call Number now" - length 6.6 seconds) it works. It's if I interrupt it that the problem occurs. I do have the checkbox marked to all prompts to be interrupted by tones.

I'm curious, how do you have yours setup?

mike

menu choice 6> menu action with ??? > transfer action with PIN set to 4321, specific tab with $KEY

that's it baby

Ah... right. I don't need it coming off of my main menu, as I have a dedicated line (866 and local) just for this purpose. So, that makes sense.

So, the only thing that is stumping me is that I cannot interrupt the message with a conference line number or if I do, I have to hit # first.

Thanks for your help.
Mike

It really shouldn't matter, you ICR destination should be set to VM:modulename the module should be a menu with X?? for your conf meet me shortcodes, connect that to transfer with a PIN and $KEY

Hi Ron,

X??

I have ???, should it then be 5?? if my range is 500?

Interesting. Well, same thing. So, when I dial the number, it begins the message about "Welcome to the Conferencing Center..." and I have to hit # then the conference number, then the pin.

I for the life of me do not understand why the # is necessary!
