IP Office - LED behaviour on expansion module

Hi!

We just got a new AVAYA IPO. We came from a AVAYA Aura 500.

We use it mostly with the 9640 phones or nowadays with the SIP-J179 ones. Both on the latest (possible) firmware. IPO has the latest updates, too.

One problem that perfectly annois us, that came with the new IPO, is that the LEDs on the expansion module are flickering nervously when the line of one participant is ringing or when they are speaking (busy).
This behaviour is new to us, as whe haven't seen this before on the old AVAYA Aura. There we had a slow red blinking when someone rings the other partisipant lines and a solid red LED, when the line was busy.
If you have 10 ppl on your extension modul speakting, it's almost like a disco. Our secretarys office have most of the ppl in our company on their extensions and it totally distracts them when there is this permenet flickering of the LEDs. They even couldn't differentiate, if the line is ringing or if it's busy.
Wen have it regardless of an extension on a 9640 or a new J179.

I hope, you get, what I mean.

Surprisingly all other LEDs like Twinning, Call Forwarding or "Do not disturb" show us solid red LEDs when activated.

Our provider told us, that there's no customizing of the LED behaviour possible.
Do you have any tipps, how to solve this problem?

Normal operation of the add-on module LEDs is:

Not lit when the phone is idle
Solidly lit when the phone is on DND or disconnected from the IPO
Flashing slowly when the phone is ringing
Flashing quickly when the phone is busy on a call

yes, that's what I found out, too. Thanks for the quick reply.
But with the Aura, it was flashing slowly when the phone is ringing, solid when the phone / line was busy.

Is there any way to have it the same way in the IPO again?

I wish there would be but it is hardcoded in the system and phone

I wonder if not more ppl using the IPO are annoied by this permanent flickering and that this is not a feature request for AVAYA.
What if you have two or more extension modules and more potentially busy lines in your company. We have eight external lines and the secretrarys office is running wild!
As the LED behaviour is different for "Do not disturb" or "Twinning", this can only be a matter in the controls.

Is there any way to ask AVAYA for this feature request?

You can only hope that there is not a person sitting there that has photosensitive epilepsy.

And yes

it is annoying but shows the status of every stage which was what they wanted I guess.
