Hello,

I have installed an IP Office system IP500 platform running release 4.2 and eCAS call accounting software.

There are a few users in the configuration who are set with no local voicemail, and their forwarding settings are set as foward unconditional to their home office land line, defined in the user's forwarding tab via IP Office Manager - Ver 6.2(14).

When an extension summary report is generated, it does not show any of the calls that are directed to the forwarding users. Their extensions are being reported with no call records, and there are a large number of calls being reported with dashes in the extension field.

Reports generated using digit string searches of the destination land lines also show the same dashes in the extension field.

There are also many calls generated with extension number 9999 even though there is no such extension defined in the system itself.

The eCAS was installed using the CDR output setting in the IP Office, and direct IP collection method in the eCAS.

Is it possible that installing the Delta Server, and changing the IP Office output to SMDR will generate the information needed to populate the "blank" calls with the phantoms, or is there a better way to create the phantoms so that they are reported by the CDR output?

Any ideas or help would be greatly appreciated.

Delta server is not needed at all, just chage the IP Office output to SMDR and that will log forwarded calls against users, there is even an option to log forwarded calls as a seperate call log

I tried to change the output to SMDR Only using the same IP port as in the CDR setting, and now I am getting no call records at all.

I was told by Veremark, that in order to use the SMDR setting, that I would need to install the delta server.

I know that in the field we usually find the real answers which is why I am reaching out in this forum.

This was correct up until about a year ago. Delta will create a csv file of the call records but will NOT show tandem (call forward) calls.

SMDR direct from the IPO to an IP address and TCP port will show what you want, however, as you are already using CDR, the format is completely different.

You will have to get eCas to write a new interperator to manipulate the SMDR records. They shouldn't charge you for this as this is standard on Avaya systems and it is up to them to keep their software updated. SMDR offers a lot more information than CDR ever did or will do. I think, not too sure, but CDR will be discontinued eventually, so it's in their interest.

To test the SMDR output you could just use Hyperterminal - Receive File on tcp port. But trust me, it does work.
