Many thanks in advance.

They are because the dongle is referenced in each line of the licences, I don't even need to check.
The issue will be the system doesn't see the dongle :)

Hi thanks for your response amriddle01. Am I doing something wrong? I have put this dongle on three IP office systems, entered the keys by pasting also by typing them on??? It recognised what the license key is with expired as never. However still says invalid???? Confused ??

You can't connect the dongles onto the 403s, that's only possible with the 406s and serial dongles IIRC. Those parallel dongles are for connecting to a PC with a parallel port and the licence server/driver running on it :)

If you have a 406v2 you could try connecting a 9 pin adaptor to the dongle and entering the systems LAN1 address as licence server, otherwise it's a dongle and licence swap :)

That sounds like better news. I have someone with an old 406 DT version. That is what it will be used for plugging directly to the dte port on the back of the control unit. I take it that should be no problem? Many thanks?

You can certainly try, I know for sure it works on DS 406v2s and serial dongles, never tried a DT and/or parallel with adaptor. Also a system cannot be a licence server for another system :)

Many thanks for your input and help. I will give it a go and let you know how it goes Incase you may need it for future reference / enquiries. But judging how IP office has progressed I doubt it, but hey you never know????

Those parallel dongles are for connecting to a PC with a parallel port and the licence server/driver running on it

Correct.

Serial interface on back of any IPO 406 or 403 will not work with a parallel dongle. You either need a Feature Key Server (on Admin disk) or an upgrade to a new platform and license swap

Take Care

I have always wished that my computer would be as easy to use as my telephone.
My wish has come true. I no longer know how to use my telephone.
