I've been working on building a Multi-Zone Paging Environment on an IP Office wunning 4.2.11 for over a week and am not having a lot of success.

Is there a supported/proven method of paging to Digital Sets (5420's & 5410's) and an analog Amp with Speakers Attached and a group of Self Amplified paging horns?

Ive tried it with 2 UPAM's to both zones, then tried a Lucent/Bogen PCU200 PCU/TIM, CPU & ZMP. Both ways I can page the zones individually but I cannot combine them into a huntgroup and make them work. I am currently using analog extension ports as the customer has no free trunk ports.

Any help would be awesome. thanks

If your analog station ports are configured for paging in Extension section of Manager, you simply add them to the hunt group. This will NOT work if you're using the paging interfaces as "station level paging adapters". Frankly, unless we need to mix in a second source to the amp, we simply put an isolation transformer between the station port and the amp input, bypassing the paging adapter. I'd probably use the paging adapter with self-amplified speakers - but treat the properly-configured station port as a classic paging port from the PBX.

I 'think' I understand what you are saying, but am still a little confused.

Thorugh this whole process I have tried setting the analog extn port to Standard Telephone, IVR and Paging with no success using Paging...that's wny Im still a bit confused.

The final outcome that I am looking for is to beable to page Zone 1 (the digital Phones) and Zone 2 (the overhead speakers connected to a Bogen TPU-100B Amp) at the same time. Assuming I can get that to work I want to page Zone 1, Zone 2 and Zone 3 (Self Amplified Horns) at the same time.

Using a the UPAMS and the PCU Modules I can do all three individually but I cannot mix them together no matter what I try.

If I could figure out a way to make short code say #9, that would dial 300,00 (where the ',' is a 1 second pause) then I could probably make it work using the PCM. But I havent been able to. As far as the UPAM's go, I didnt get any results there either, I could page them 1 at a time but not mix them together.

Any chance you could outline your method for me? thanks for the help :)

When you change an analog station port to Paging Speaker you must go off hook on the port then, while off hook, restart the IP Office for the change to "stick". That's probably the issue.
