Ip Office and mobility

I would like to use a softphone on a portable device smaller than a laptop.
Since customer wants to be plugged "all the time" to the office, but not when the laptop open "all the time".

so i got 2 options
1) use it on a PDA or handheld or Ipaq which runs a standart version of windows XP
2) it the IP office phone manager pro softphone is compatible with windows mobile

Note that I dont want promises that it will work on the 4.99 release or later, but i gotta know whats is useful right nowadays.

1)On a PDA you could use SJPhone, it works on H323. So you'll need H323 licence in the IPO.
2)Won't work

Best to wait for 4.2, it has a lot of mobile enhancements it will come out Q4 of this year.
It works like one-x of the Avaya CM.

Greetzzz....Bas

Or in the mean time, mobile twinning or remote forwarding will get you the basics.

I think the one-x mobile is the closest to get
This is not in a feature version it will work in 4.2
It works great
You just have to wait for the GA that is coming soon

WELL LADIES AND GENTLEMEN
seem the day has arrived

If you check the "look more professional" section

you will see some NEW KIDS, the ONE-x mobile, and the ONE-x IP

FINALLY it seems that IP Office will talk with this micro devices.

I got a tiny NOKIA E50 and installed the one-x.sis and started a lab, anyone want to share experiences?

Here an experience :)

You do not need a free DDI for a FNE
Jsut use the CLI and incomnig call routing

So if you have DDI 12345678
Then you make another ICR with 12345678 and point it to the shortcode for your FNE
In that way you do not need a free DDI

Any phone that you can install the One-X client on should work with IPO 4.2.

Basically it just dials different numbers depending on what action you choose in the client.
