Hey guys, look like the IPO/Lync integration that worked great up until now will break if folks install the new update for Office 2013. Within the large update for Office 2013 is KB2889923 which moves Microsoft Lync to Microsoft Skype for business. The integration stays installed but our tests have shown that the lync client shows a changing state of connected/disconnected every second or so and makes the plugin unusable.

We are running the total update for Office 2013 and then uninstalling just this single KB for now (which brings it back to Lync client) until Avaya patches the broken integration. If anyone who has tested or finds the same issue could create a ticket/bug report that would be great.

Thanks!

If you have a look at the release date of the plugin for Lync 2013 related to the release date of Lanc 2013 client you know how long you have to wait. Approximately for sure...

I have Lync Integration working with Skype for Business.

The Lync Files I used are

MSIntegration-6.3.2-SNAPSHOT-Lync2013IntegrationIPOx86.zip

I just installed them after upgrading to Skype for Business (Version 15.0.4727.1001) from the old 2010 Lync and it just works, even the dialling rules seem to work (except the one to always add local area code to local calls).

This integration is still not working in any way from what I can tell. Has anyone else been able to get this to work?

Microsoft Updates moved the client to Skype For Business 2015, and while the installer detects Lync 2013, we constantly toggle from the client not showing the call buttons at all to a disconnected state as shown in the screenshot.

I have just upgraded my work PC (nice i7 with SSD :). I have reinstalled Skype for Business 2015 and have then installed the Avaya Lync plugin. Turned it on, configured user, server and dialling rules and I can now dial from within Skype for Business.

I have a document I wrote for this, it is a basic document but I followed it with the above and was calling my Skype contacts inside 5 minutes.

Just installed windows 10 and can confirm the above still holds true.
