IP Office 8.0 is now saying version 3.2(0)

Had an odd thing happen this morning with our IP Office 8.0. At first I could not connect to it, kept saying Network Error connecting to the IP Office. I did a reboot and switched out the LAN cable and now I can't even discover the unit. But I can still ping it. I manually put in the IP address under Unit/Broadcast Address and I can see it but it is now saying Version 3.2(0) and still doesn't allow me to connect to it.
I have seen this one time on a customer's system and the only thing I could do to fix it was to reset the system completely. Is there another way around fixing this without resetting the entire system?
 
Unplug it from your network, and just do a direct connection into it with a laptop.

Sounds like it might be a wonky default gateway somewhere on your network! So remove your network.

If the laptop can connect directly, then start looking for the problem outside your IPO!
