System: IPO 500 V2 R9.03
Phones: (4) 1408 and (1) 1416
(1) Combo Card V2
Edition: Basic
Voicemail Mode: Intuity

Let me apologize if this is a simple question, I just have never done this before. I am pre-programming the system for a national sub-contract install and the docs say that they would like an AA set up as follows:

Day: 8am-5pm
Thank you for caling xyz. To dial by extension press 1. Do dial by name press 2. For directions press 3. For the operator press 4.

Night:5:01pm-7:59am
Thank you for caling xyz. To dial by extension press 1. Do dial by name press 2. For directions press 3.

So, I need to have key press 3 go to a second auto attendant that can have the directions message recorded or to a voice mail/phantom mailbox with the directions recorded but does not accept messages. The issue is that the programming directions explicitly say to set the voice mail to Intuity Mode and not IPO Mode. This is a Basic Edition system and will not be upgraded to Essential.

Right now I have set it up with AA1 as above with the two time profiles and then AA2 set for 24/7. However, when I go to apply it I get an error saying the time profiles cannot overlap. If I delete AA2 I do not get the error.

I have looked through the docs and did a quick search of this board but I cannot seem to find how to set it up in Intuity. Or perhaps having the error will not actually affect the system when I load the database?

In IP Office time runs from 00:00 to 00:59, 01:00 to 01:59 etc. until 23:00 to 23:59.
A time profile cannot be from 17:00 to 09:00, it is only valid between 00:00 and 23:59.
So a time profile for the night runs from 00:00 to 08:59 and from 17:00 to 11:59
A day profile would then run from 09:00 to 11:59 and from 13:00 to 19:59
A luch profile would run from 12:00 to 12:59
Get the idea?

Thank you for your reply. I understand that setting up profiles in Standard Mode is more flexible, perhaps that is where you are going with the time profiles - or maybe I am misunderstanding still?

However, in Basic Mode programing one is limited to a "Morning", "Afternoon", and "Evening" profile with only one time range per profile (so, Night cannot run in two time periods as listed in your example). For whatever reason it keeps giving me the error of overlapping time profiles when I have more than one profile, even if I set them absolutely not overlapping at all. However, it seems that I can get around this by just having the main greeting (AA1) run from 08:00 AM - 05:00 PM and then record an Out of Office Hours greeting for the evening as the "Out of Hours" greeting plays any time another profile is not set to play. I then have AA2 set to run 12:00AM - 11:59pm, It will let me save it that way. Interestingly, if I use a 24hr clock format it will change the fields to a 12 hour clock format with AM/PM rather than letting me use a 24hr clock. I did not know it would do that.

Below is a screen shot of the setup before I took out the "Evening" tick on the right of the manager.
