Hello Guru's!
I have a situation which I am stumped now, hopefully someone here has experienced this.......I have two sites same version IPO 9.0.3 With SCN setup. In my SSA it says there connected and small community is up with direct media.
I make a test call from site A to site B, I see it going to the set in site B but no ringing and they can pick it up but no Audio,
both ways.
Any suggestions? There are no firewalls and both sites are setup on there seperate DSL Dry loop circuit with DMZ.

Thanks!

Well, my setup is based on what I deal with, a completly closed network where I'm in charge of every setting/box.

SCN with or without fallback should not give any different outcome, that sounds like a routing issue. (It is always the network😀)

Kind regards

Gunnar

The SCN fallback is for resilience, so if you don't need that, skip it, or take away fallback on your main system SCN (docs say both on, but not always 100% in all scenarios)

To me this sounds like your provider mess up your DMP mid call.

You mentioned a firewall, is that the internal IPO firewall or a separate box?
The internal firewall is running on the same resources as any other tasks on the pbx. (I can't provide any proof, but I'm pretty sure the IPO will favor telephony services over security.)

A SCN works best on MPLS/IPVPN//VPN/other.

Btw, are you sure there are no conflicts between the systems? All extn same length, one system VMPro/Lite, the other Centralized.

Kind regards

Gunnar

I talked to my provider and he said there SBC only monitors SIP.
The way it is setup is we have SIP Trunks on both sites, IPO LAN 1 at both sites are connected directly to the DSL/Router/modem supplied by the provider (they set it up DMZ)both have static IP's. reason is we were trying diffent things so they said they will try it wide open and i can firewall through the IPO. we had no DMZ and it was firewalled (all necessary IPO ports were open) with the same issues. In my SSA it shows SCN up. and when I open system monitor at both sites seperately and select SCN status they see each other and the dot is green connected.
I also created short codes at each site under the VoiP line section short code tab...e.g. Site A code 3xx telephone 3N feature dial 3K1
line group 19, site B code 4xx telephone 4N feature dial 3K1.
When I monitored with SSA, I had the customer dial the other site and noticed in digits dialed it showed # and went to voicemail but no audio.
So I'm thinking we have to VPN. Thoughts?

Thanks

And.....each site has there own embedded VM. Do I need to have VMPRO for SCN? Shoild I change my supplementary services to H450 then?

Now there's a trouble maker...Embedded can cause unwanted behaviour in SCN. It's not supported, at all.
You can make SIP trunks, or other kind of connections, but a fully functional SCN will be a universe apart from the rest.

VPN is a good way of doing this, even tough your line is separated from the internet.
