I am being told there is no way to remotely program an automated attendant greeting on the IPO 500 R7? Is that possible?

Get a DDI and forwar dit to a shortcode *840x

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

I assume you mean DID? And if so, could anybody dial that DID and access the greetings for a change? That would be dangerous if we couldn't password protect them.

DDI or DID :)
It is indeed dangerous but what is life without some danger once in a while?

There actually is a way to password protect it in embedded.

All it takes is multiple cascading auto attendants.

if you password is going to be 2580
create auto attendant2
have its option 2 transfer to autoattendant5
have autoattendant5 option 5 go to autoattendant8
and have auto attendant 8 option 8 to go autoattendant 0
have option 0 on auto0 transfer to *840x

setup all the rest of the options on auto attendants transfer back to the original AA.

Problem doing that though is you lose the timeout option, it's only when the call directly goes to the attendant that you can use the timeout....crap but true :)
