I have an IPO 500 system V2, version 6.1
Current licenses
42 end point licenses (31 end points currently in use)
27 Customer service licenses (20-24 logged in at any one time)
Advanced edition license
VM Pro Preferred edition license
3 Supervisor licenses (only one or two actively used at any given time).
36 VM ports
We are looking to add 5 phones to another office we recently purchased and I have plenty of free End point licenses. 2 will be for 2 managers which are already setup in the system and moving to that office, the other three will be for reservation agents that will share the phones logging in and out when they work their shifts. We do not use Unified messaging. My vendor is telling me that in order to add 5 customer service agent licenses we also have to add 5 power user licenses as a prerequisite. All of the information I find on the power user licenses states that they are primarily for mobile executives to enable advanced features like SIP soft phone, mobile messaging, UMS and other features we do not use. Are the power user licenses required to add additional agent licenses since my other 27 agent licenses have no corresponding power user licenses installed?
Also my understanding of the Customer service licenses are that they are concurrent so if I only have 20 logged in I have 7 free, and as agents log in and out throughout the day the licenses will be consumed and freed accordingly is that correct?
Any help on this is greatly aprreciated.
