IP Office 500 Servers not on domain

I am testing Softphone VOIP and it works "ok" when on the network. However when I test it over a Sonicwall VPN, it fails to find the server. When I do nslookup "control unit ip address" it fails out. However, I can ping it. I am using Win XP and Sonicwall SSL VPN client. Is there any reason that I may need to have the IP Office servers on the domain to get it to work?
 
I think there were some issues with Sonic wall and softphone. I remember having to turn some H323 settings off in the sonic wall.

I have two IP Routes -

0.0.0.0.0 255.255.255.0 192.168.1.9 LAN1
192.168.99.0 255.255.255.0 0.0.0.0 Remote Manager

Our IP schema on the LAN is 192.168.1.0 (Not my idea)
I am assuming our vendors schema is 192.168.99.0

H.323 transformations were turned on.

As the 255.255.255 is actually making your IP office look for route 0.0.0.1-0.0.0.255

Run ethereal/wireshark then startup the softphone.

This is the fastest way to find your problem.
