Where can I find some IP Office R9.0 Power user licenses? I need more softphones and my vendor will no longer sell me licenses due to my outdate platform.

Any suggestions?

You can't. ADI licenses are no longer sold, you must upgrade to R11 and migrate to PLDS licensing before you can get new licenses.

I used to be an ACE. Now I'm just an Arse.

Any recommendations for after market purchase (ebay, etc)? The system still works perfect so I am having a tough time paying the $$$ to update. (Im aware of no support).

I just need to add some softphone users. Darn EOL products.

I don't think you will find unused licences. I have seen SD cards with licenses but you'd need the right combination of licences and of course you'd lose your current card.

Isn't there a softphone licence less than power user?

I can see why Avaya wanted to end ADI but they must have missed out on a lot of sales for those who choose not to upgrade but go elsewhere.

I just assumed I could purchase a license and add it manually to the IP office. I dont see an SD card on our system. We have IP Office 500 v1. I believe this just has a smart card in the back.
Our only softphone license was from a PowerUser license.

The licenses are generated based on your system id, and they can't generate new licenses anymore. I'd suggest upgrading, but your 500v1 is not supported.

My understanding is they had someone on the inside at Avaya who was generating serial #s and selling them on the gray market. Avaya missed out on countless sales through this and was largely responsible for them switching to PLDS.

The truth is just an excuse for lack of imagination.

I should have remembered the v1 which has a smart card instead of an SD card. This acts as unique key for the licences.

V1 can't be upgraded past R9 I'm afraid.

BTW it seems the softphone license isn't that much cheaper than the power user.
