Hello all,

Its been a while since I have posted. Here are my questions:

Just got an IPOFFICE 500 to build and I'm a bit confused cause its laid out somewhat different.

The PRI and Analog cards are piggyback to the main cards..how does that work in terms of programming the software? I know the old 400 sys you couldn't put some cards on some slots, is this true with the 500?
Also the system didn't come with CD's so I have no idea which version to use. Whats the best stable version out for IP500, I just downloaded 4.0 and 4.1...I'm guessing 4.0 is probably best but I'm unsure.

Other than that I'm sure the rest is straight forward like 3.2 was.

Any posts would be appreciated...

Regards,

Al

It does not matter where you put your daughtercards (that is how the trunk card are named now)

Read techbulletin 80 and you are the man :) VERY IMPORTANT !!!

4.1 is the better version
4.0 has a lot of reboot issues

OK so I guess I shouldn't assume the rest would be easy. I guess it was longer ago than I last set one of these up. Can anyone give me a basic sequence of operations to setup the following which I am having problems figuring out.

1. I know how to add DID ext to the system but I want to have the main number coming off the PRI to go to be the main picked up by reception but for the receptionist to be able to throw the main nmber to AA if shes not there. AKA as the old "Night" button.
2. How does the Time Profile work in reference to setting up the AA with one day message and one night. (I swear this was easier in 3.2 cause I never had to ask how to do it it just made sense but for some reason I totally forgot)
3. Can I renumber the extensions to the 4 digit DID numbers comming in off the trunk? DID Range is 7900 (main number) 7901-7919(DID's)

Thanks in advance to any and all!!!

If you want the AA to reference the status of the hunt group you can use the "Route by Call Status" action under the blue telephone icon in Voicemail Pro. Or you can program a time profile in Voicemail Pro in addition to the time profile in Manager.

1&2) have a Night button for the group and use a route by call status action as above.

3) I would give the Extension Renumber option in the Manager menu a go!!!

Football is not a matter of life and death-It is far more important!!!!

I forgot to add this is integrated vm not pro..

ha ha

Instad of route by call status:
Create group called Night and give number eg 301
Create SC like *60, Voicemail Collect, #301
Create new user (eg 201) give name (eg DivNight) forward that user unconditionaly and hunt group to your SC.
put that user in the night group and make the group sequential
Put the Night group as the Night fallback from the Main group.
Put Main in Night service via button or Time and test.

Here is another question I am unsure of...do I need an adtran router off the T1 or can the IPOFFICE work as a router too..
I saw the setting CSU operation and wondered if I really need this adtran ADN-1203022L1.

Any input would be great...after this install I'm getting my @ss to a training class @Avaya.

What are you looking to do with the T1? Split voice and data?
