IP Office 500 & 5602 Handsets

I did an install last week with all IP handsets after doing the Avaya 4.0 Training Course which I recommend or read Tech Tip 80 over and over.

IP 500 V4
Pri Trunk Moduel
50* 5602 Handsets
32 VCM channels
Analoge 2 Card
HP Procurve POE Switch

The message button on the IP handsets are the only thing that isn,t working on this system anyone know a fix for this issue

 
This has been mentioned on this site previously, it would seem that this is a bug.

You need to go through your distributor and raise a fault which can be progressed through tier three/four @ Avaya.
 
This is a V4 bug my friend.


I am still waiting for a PB to fix this issue

I just wanted to know if any has had a responce from avaya i'm currently awaiting one also
 
Not yet. Spoke to Tech Support today and they are waiting Avaya's answer. It has been proved at Welwyn (IP Office UK HQ) as a bug.

The Fix is to program Digital Telephony Button 3 as VM Collect.

A Technical Tip will be released later as this is un-documented.

Intrested to know with that many 5602's are you getting any ramdom Echo on calls?????????. That is when the user hears there voice back in the ear when the talk into the Mic.

Watch out as well there is an issue with VCM mapping in 4.0.5 we just had a PB supplied to resolve an issue that was fixed in 3.2(55) but missed the GA of 4.0.5.

Just wanted to give you the heads up.
