I have a VPN setup between 2 netvanta 2054 routers. The VPN appears to be working fine i can access the file shares on our coporate office, emails, etc.

I got the phone setup added an IP Route to Manager and it apears it's connected. I can dial out on it but for some reason i have no dial tone, audio or anything on that phone.

I have no idea what it could be. I opened up ports 1719 and 1720 on both routers (TCP Protocol) to see if that was it and didn't fix it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

3.1(65)

I am pretty sure I have the VCM licensing already. We used to have a couple of these phones setup before out of the office as well in the past.

does the phone upgrade it files when it boots up?

it does. It's pulling files off the TFTP server. I don't know too much those files and if I even have the right ones but yes it's pulling from the TFTP server just fine.

Can you confirm that the ports 49152 till 53246 are open too.
Those ports are used for rtp

3.1 VCM licensing?

I suspect you should only need the hardware (VCM 4 / 8 / 16 etc) and not a licence

fire up system monitor and look right when it fires up and see what the number VCOMP=x is

Then you have a VCM 10 card (old)
But can you confirm that the ports 49152 till 53246 are open too.
Those ports are used for rtp

going to try that now. opening them up on the router at the corporate office only right?

pointing to the IP Address of the server which the IP office software is installed on.

well the power is out right now at our remote office.

so we will have to wait and see if opening the ports on the router are going to help or not.

anyone else have any ideas in-case this doesn't work?

So they are closed ?
Then i think you will have speech when you try again.

Yeah they weren't open on the router at the corporate office router.

I can't believe I still don't have any dial tone or audio. I have no idea what is going on. This phone worked just fine at our corporate office so I don't think it's the phone
