Just bought this unit and it came with version 3.2 can someone point me to a document or tell me the appropriate way to upgrade this to the latest software/firmware for this unit? is 6.0 the highest it can go?

Thanks in advance guys.

A 406V1 can go up to 3.2 but a 406V2 PCS8 or higher can go up to 6.1
But if you have a 406V2 with PCS 6 or lower then max 3.2
PCS 7 needs a check with monitor if it has enough memory.
When you see freemem 48343231 (8 digits, not exactly this number) then you are ok but if it is 7 digits then it has not enough memory and then 3.2 is max.

Dumb Question. I am assuming we need to get rid of the current voicemail setup that we have with our telecommunications company for the voicemail to even work. The owner is too cheap to buy voicemail pro so we are sticking with voicemail lite.

I do not believe VM lite was supported beyond V3.2 (although it still works)

& yes you will need to switch off any external vm services or you will get a race condition & never be certain where the msg will end up

Computers are like Air conditioners:-
Both stop working when you open Windows

Support for voicemail lite stopped with version 5.0
Although it still seems to work fine.
