IP Office 406v2 version 3.1 password reset

Hi All

Can someone advise me of the administrator password reset process for an IP Office 406v2 running version 3.1?

Currently when connected via a serial DTE cable and trying 'AT-SECURITYRESETALL' method I just get ERROR, I believe this is because only worked from 3.2 onward. (correct?)

Any advice welcome.

the system password is stored in the config
You need to send a config with a new password (difficult if you do not know the correct one to get a config in the first place).

if you have a copy of the config then revalation will show you the current system password
failing that it can be extracted using IPOpass if you can find a copy.

the final option is to erase the config using the DTE port


A Maintenance contract is essential, not a Luxury.
Do things on the cheap & it will cost you dear

If you have a config open it offline in a 3.1 manager and use a tool like asterwin to view the password.
If you don't have a config and you cannot access the ipoffice then connect a DeltaServer to the IP Office then you find a config in the DeltaServer program directory.
It has always been a hard task to retrieve lost or unknown passswords on IP Office ( not ).
