IP OFFICE 406 POE

I have an IP Office 406 with a VCM30 in it. I also have an 1152A1X power distribution unit with data and power ports and just data ports.
Can I set up my phones to work on this as POE? I tried to connect the IP 406 to the "link" on the front of the 1152A1X but nothing came up on the phones.
Is this possible to do?

I have tried to access the 1152 and I have a small manual for one but it doesn't explain how to connect. I tried with ASA and I just get a blue screen but no login. Is there any programming that needs to be done? I am unable to connect directly to the 1152A1X and to a phone with any success.

does the phone power up when you plug into the "data and Power" side?

I found a little info on the 1152A1X, where it is referred to also as Avaya 700253099 - Mid Span 24 Port AC LAN Hub IP Phones SNMP

Sounds like a hub, not a switch; just end point power distribution.

Another document I came across describes Avaya PoE strategy and does give some command line interactions with their products, but not the 1151A1 line:

You might have some luck searching Cisco Catalyst PoE, as most of these older units appear to be made by them for Avaya. (OMG)

Thank you for the help. I do have the 700253099. I have gotten the phones to light up but there isn't ethernet. That's where I am needing the most help. I wonder if I should be using a different kind of hub.

You cannot program the 1152 and neither is the 1152 some kind of swich or hub.
It is a power brack, all network data is transferred from one port to the other, only on the phone port the unit adds the power on two unused wires.
So you must connect the 1152 to a switch or hub and the other ( powered ) port to the phone.
Then th phone can start up.

Indeed Intigrant is right, this is just a mid-span unit, you plug the patch lead from a functioning switch into this and it simply passes it straight back out the paired port with some power added (usually data in bottom, power and data out Top), it cannot be used as a switch it is simply 24 power injectors stuck together and rack mounted
