I am just woundering if any one has had any issues with this load of 4.2.15. I am very comfortable with 4.1.15 and am hesitant to start implemanting 4.2?

Well don't fix what's not broken =)
If there's no reason for upgrading to 4.2 you shouldn't upgrade.

There are some bugs in 4.2 14, but it depends on the customer if they are affected by them.

agreed, if it's not broken don't fix it. There are a good few changes in 4.2 over 4.1.15, unless you have a very basic requirement or the need for new features.

I agree with the concept of "if it ain't broken don't fix it". But currently I have a customer running 4.0.9.
unfortionatly on this load extension swaps are not mergable. Also my customer wants to upgrade. I recomended 4.1.15, but he wants 4.2.14 because it is the "latest load".
But even though I warned him that I have not played with the 4.2.14 load I just want to do some homework on it.
Thanks everyone for any input.

Well be aware that in 4.2 it isnt a simple merge for an extension change, it says it is but you also have to log both handsets off (even Dig/Ana) and then log them back in for the change to work.

which takes roughly the same amount of time as repatching ;)

Indeed, I have never understood the laziness of some customers.

I have 2 sites currently running 4.2(14) and 4.2(27) without problems. Customers had to be at 4.2 because they are using UMS and Mobility. As was previously stated by TheTaker, there are some new features in 4.2 that you could show your customer but if they are not planning to implement those then there just really is no need to go to 4.2.

4.2.14 looks OK so far as we have several on it. However, We found several issues with 4.2.27 voicemail. Stick to the 4.2.24 for voicemail.

Very important info on some 4.2 versions folks. I don't know if it has been posted yet.
