ip not connecting

hey guys,

i have 1 ip phone at the house that has been working great for 3 years....no problems at all.

we have the 403 3.2.67

checkpoint routers at both locations as we have a point to point vpn set up and running. i can ping the ip office, the router, any computer, and so on..... i have a BIG FAT DISCOVER 192.168.1.20 (which is the ip office address) on the display of the phone????

i only have 1 route in the ip office as i only have 1 phone....nothing big???

could the VCM be bad? if it was bad, could i still ping the ip office from the house???

A bad VCM would not stop the handset connecting it would just cause no audio to Non IP devices etc, perhaps something has had an IP address change and has clashed with the IP office, when you ping the 1.20 address check your ARP cache and make sure they aren't two MAC's for it and that it is correct :)

never mind....got it working....

i had to put the ip address of the router in the 4610sw set and let DHCP give the ip address? i have never had to do that at this site before??

oh well...its working!!!!!
 
Check the IP Route in the 403 it should be something like;

0.0.0.0/0.0.0.0/GW
