Hi all,

Looking for some clarification on IP Dect, I have 2 Offices. The two are quite a distance away from each other with a road in the middle of them. On the main site they use 155 cell stations and this works good. Signal is obsolete on the remote site due to the above. I have a VPN between the sites and thought about using IP DECT.

How well would it work when users from the main site walk over to the remote site?

Is there somewhere where I can set this cell station to remote site? My understanding is I will have a master on the main site and all slave cells need to sync with it, so how does with this work in this scenario?

Appreciate any feedback on this one. Should say it’s an NCP500 but would be interested to know any difference with an NS.

Thanks

yes you can have IP dect on remote site, phones will connect once the enter the signal of the remote office. syncing can be on the LAN and will only need to sync local cells as it is only for hand off for roaming between cells and if there is a gap between the offices that has no signal they wont hand off anyway

NS you can have cell stations on remote site without a VPN

Cheers for the info. Bit off topic but have you had any issues with NT521 handsets re booting? Site is connected via VPN back to main, we have a NT543 on same site which is fine. VPN seems stable, pbx is on v6. Going back tomorrow to look in to this but any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
