I just ran into a problem at one of my sites that had an easy fix. I recently upgraded a 3300 to Rel 6. With that upgrade, the IP console requires an upgrade. Everything went fine, but the receptionist reported a few problems later. Most of the problems were solved by training on the new features such as DSS call pickup, held calls queue, etc. The one problem though was the BLF/DSS indication. The sets in the office have 2 line appearances (Multicall) of the prime DN. Before the upgrade, when only one appearance was busy, the console BLF would show the extension as busy. After the upgrade, both appearances needed to be busy before the status on the console would show busy.
In system options, there is an entry "BLF - Busy Indication Based on Set Enabled". When set to YES, the set only needs to be busy on one of it's appearances for the BLF indication to show it as busy. This option was already set to YES, which is why it worked before the upgrade. I thought that may be there was a design problem and needed to be reported to MITEL.
The FIX? I just set this option to NO and saved. Then I re-enabled the option with YES and saved. The console BLF is now working as intended.
Just an FYI.
