Hi All

Is is possible to find out what software version an IP 500 V2 chassis was first fired up and fixed at ?

You can check the main level by removing any upgrade licences that are on the system and then going to upgrade. It will show you the licensed release and this will be the release it was first built on.

Use a serial cable and PuTTy and connect it to your PC.
Boot up IP Office and in all the messages passing there is one line showing the version the system is locked on.
A upgrade license will unlock higher versions.

Hi Guys
Thanks for the response, much appreciated.
Intrigrant, when you go in via the serial connection, there is a line that states "grace software = 6".
I am assuming that this related to software level, e.g software upgrade licence 6 would have allowed you to go to version 8.1.
Am I interpreting this correctly ?

Many thanks.

I have no idea which release version is related to what license version.
Maybe another member can enlighten us on this.
