ip 500 v2 software issue

It normally happens at system start. In fact the control unit start includes a deliberate delay so that when it starts all the external modules should already by powered up and it will then check their software versions and do the necessary. Are you saying that didn't happen after you attached the module and restarted the system? [your query is an unpunctuated stream of consciousness with no detail of the actual steps that you have followed]
