IP 500 R 8.042 salesforce softphone dials out but does nothing on incoming calls??

I have installed onex portal and also installed the salesforce cti adapter from onex and the softphone initializes when logging into salesforce. It allows you to,click on numbers in salesforce and make an outbound call just fine but when incoming calls ring in nothing happens on the softphone at all. No caller id nothing.. Any ideas why that is happening?
