Hi,
I am rather new into system administrator for IP Office 500, but I have an old Avaya IP500 PBX (Avaya ID 700417207). It has been running without problems for years. Yesterday however it was powered off shortly and did not want to get up again. My assumption is that there is a problem with the PSU (this has happened also once in 2015).
1) Can I safely buy a second hand chassis with PSU (also Avaya ID 700417207) and swap all the boards from the old IP500 into the new chassis? The old IP 500 system is a "IP 500 SYSTEM UNIT - PCS 06". Can I also use a chassic IP500 v2 ((Avaya ID 700476005)?
2) I have opened the case of the old "IP 500 SYSTEM UNIT" and had a look at the PSU. If I connect power only a LED named DS1 blinks shortly. Nothing else happens. There is also a fuse on the PSU. Maybe that is broken? Can I replace that? How to see if the fuse is broken?
Any help appreciated. Would be nice to get this unit back up and running. Thanks!
Best regards,
Rene
