IP 500 Combo digital/trunk card 1

I have an IP Office 500 running 6.0 software. I have tried to install a combo card for testing. Its a Combo card atm4 with daughter trunk board. SO its 6 digital, 4 analog trunks, 2 analog phones. When I boot up the system I get a red light on it and system status says Installed hardware is not valid on this platform combo phones/VCM slot 3. Documents say I need software vs 6.0 and above which I have. Cant for the life of me figure out why it isnt accepting it.

You need tha latest 6.0 or 7.0 as the latest combi cards are not recognised below that :)

Disregard our system is a V1 and I was told it was V2 so didnt even think to check. Thats my issue. Thanks.

Combo cards will not be recognized by 500, only 500v2.

the combo cards do not have a separate line card the trunk interface is part of the main board.
The daughter card is actually a VCM

Computers are like Air conditioners:-

interesting
on of my engineers removed on & then found that none of the IP handsets would work untill it was replaced.

maybe it is both trunk & VCM as they will not work on a standard module.

The trunk card does work on another base card if fitted (for example I have fitted the BRI 4and ATM4 to a DS8) but the Combi base card will not function without the trunk card fitted. The VCM is fitted to the base card.

As you can see from the below extract from an Avaya tech tip it's a standard trunk card:
