i have been getting the following errors

"SRPT4619 WARNING: Last Archive Procedure had failed
No archives were completed since Apr 11 00:04:00 2007
Use LD 143 to perform Attended Backup(ABKO)"

i did the following tests and the book states that i need to replace the IOP/CMDU card

">ld 137
CIOD000
.test iop
CIOD033 The active IOP needs to be disabled
.test cmdu 1
OK: CMDU 1 HDK
CIOD008 1: CMDU 1 FDK test fail
.test cmdu 1

OK: CMDU 1 HDK
CIOD008 1: CMDU 1 FDK test fail
.test cmdu 1

OK: CMDU 1 HDK
CIOD008 1: CMDU 1 FDK test fail"

i know i need to replace the card and i have one that is the same release as the bad card but want to be sure that i am following the correct procedure. i looked in the NTPs and am a little confused so i was hoping somebody could let me know if the procedures i got from the previous tech are OK. the following is the procedure i was given.

IOP / CMDU SWAP

Step 1: LD 43 – EDD
Step 2: Take floppy out of IOP / CMDU your replacing
Step 3: Verify that running IOP is not the one you are changing
Step 4: Software disable IOP / CMDU LD 137 – DIS CMDU x
Step 5: Hardware disable IOP / CMDU
Step 6: Remove disabled IOP / CMDU card
Step 7: Remove program cartridge from old IOP / CMDU card and place in new card
Step 8: Insert new IOP / CMDU card
Step 9: Hardware enable new IOP / CMDU
Step 10: Test CMDU = LD 137 – TEST CMDU x
Step 11: Test CMDU Hard Disk = LD 137 – TEST CMDU x HDK
Step 12: Insert disks back into new CMDU
Step 13: Test CMDU Floppy Disk = LD 137 – TEST CMDU x FDK
Step 14: Data Test CMDU = LD 137 – DATA - CMDU x
Step 15: Data Test CMDU Hard Disk = LD 137 – CMDU x HDK
Step 16: Data Test CMDU Floppy = LD 137 – CMDU x FDK
Step 17: Synchronize the hard disks = LD 137 – SYNC
Step 18: Test redundancy = LD 137 – TEST RDUN
Step 19: Verify redundancy = LD 137 – DATA RDUN
Step 20: Software Enable CMDU = LD 137 – ENL CMDU x
Step 21: Swap Running CMDU = LD 137 – SWAP

thanks all

not the way i would do it, but it will work and is printed in the book.

i push the switch to the good side cpu and cmdu.. then put that side in maint.. turn off the cni's on the bad side.. replace the cmdu, ld that by booting it off of the install disk.. test that side, turn on the cni's, take it out of maint and ini.. give yourself 30 minutes and expect ndt of around 2 minutes
