One of my sites is showing "invalid" when calling another site using our 4 digit dialing I no idea to where to start trouble shooting any help would be appreciated very much.

It certainly sounds like the ARS is not setup correctly. In other words, is the other site begins with 4 it would be 4 with 3 digits to follow and the route for your IP trunks. If I missed something someone else please chime in.

Always look out for the next guy because it may be you!

How would you test if the digits dialed are going to the right route?

Maintenance command "dgt trace <digits>" will show you how those digits are routed.

Here is an invalid call on out IP trunk with CCS trace

So, 222 is the Cluster ID digits for the site in question

what is revealed by the maintenance command

From Calling system: (x = pbx number of destination system as per the ICP/PBX form)
rmess ver pbx x lan

The run the same command from the destination system back to the calling system using the pbx # for the calling system.

My bet is your IP trunks are not configured correctly.

from the invalid site

RMESSAGE: Connected to PBX721
RMESSAGE: Verification successful to PBX721
RMESSAGE: Disconnected to PBX721

from the destination

RMESSAGE: Connected to PBX715
RMESSAGE: Verification successful to PBX715
RMESSAGE: Disconnected to PBX715

Ok, that's very good, so it will be something simple, but possibly hard to find.

here is how the call gets processed

you dial XXXX
XXXX is found in the remote directory form (verify extension is in RD form)
XXXX is assigned to PBX x as its primary controller - Verify
The system looks up the CEID in the cluster form for the destination system and prepends the digits (what are those digits?)
The CEID should be programmed as ARS digits with 4 digits to follow going route XX
Route XX should be set to use an IP trunk group and assigned a COR (typically unrestricted) and Modify Digits (Typically no modification)
The IP trunk group is set to a remote profile, type of trunk and quantity of trunks
The profile assigns a COS and needs to be matched against the profile that the far end uses to call back
Then (depending on software level)
PBX specific limits on trunk quntities
IP address of remote system

See if you can follow the call thru your system and if anything looks out of place.

now it displays paging 6 IP trunk

At a guess, that is coming from your profile that assigns the Trunk Attributes.

Do you have a trunk attribute named paging?

if not, try dialing the digits and include the CEID digits manually.

On my systems I use 4 digit CEID's so I would be dialing 8 digits CEID + EXT

Have you checked the Trunk Attributes form to make sure that 'Dial-In Trunks Incoming Digit Modification - Absorb' is set to '0' not blank
