Hello,

I am using Putty with VT100+ keyboard settings to access my company's ancient Intuity Audix box. I get connected just fine and log in with the sa account and i'm immediately jetasoned into the Customer Services Administration page and i cant cancel out to get back to the INTUITY main menu. Ultimately, i need to be able to manage mailboxes without being on site and this system is fighting me at every turn.

I have no clue what the vm password is by googling how to change it, it appears it will require a very large sledgehammer and alot of anger, which the company may not like.

I do not have access to the true 4410 emulators as Avaya support is pretty much Microsoft 2.0 when you don't pay them the full $2000 a month for programming and training support, so any assistance will be greatly appreciated.

Run35atm, PuTTY should work just fine in Audix. You can even use windows cmd if you want. In PuTTY set the keyboard to VT100+ like you/corner9 did and then choose 4410 as the Emulator or AT386 (AT386 works better in cmd). Then use your "F" keys to navigate around. F1 = Cancel F2 = Refresh F3 = Enter F4 = Clearfield F5 = Help F6 = Choices F7 = Next Page F8 = Prev Page.

As for VM, if you are logged in as sa, just reset the vm password. No sledge hammer required.....save that for craft or higher. F6 is generaly what you will need to back out of a menu in Audix, try that to get back to the main menu and into Audix.

I have used PuTTY on Audix MAP 5-100 R4 to 5.1 and the newer LXs. Let me know if it doesn't work, I will try and help out the best I can.

I was able to find a download lastnight for ProComm Plus, which i've read that it works with 4410. I previously tried Putty and got the result of getting ported right over to the Customer Services Administration page as soon as i logged in. I tried an F6 after that, but it wouldn't let me back into the main page.

At this point, i am unsure if it is do to a policy or setting on the audix box itself, or if its due to the emulator i used (Putty).

Alright, so ProComm Plus is working like a charm. I am no longer being forwarded to the Customer Services Administration page. I'm trying ATT4410 and VT100 and both work. My only remaining issue at this point, is how the resolution is, as the F key bars at the bottom distort the command line under the Audix Administration page.

I think this may be a setting in ProComm that i will need to play around with and figure out.

Another thing i noticed, is that you can tell the intuityAudix box what terminal emulation you would like to use. After you do username, password, it comes up with a "TERM=(AT386)?:" command. You can either type "vt100" or "4410" pending on what terminal emulation type you are using. ProComm allows for either ATT4410 (4410) or vt100.

YAY! Think i just figured out how Putty works with this! baby steps....baby steps...

Awesome man, sorry I wasn't clear on that in my comments (muscle memory at this point) :)

No worries, you've all been a great deal of help.

Its like i'm in a light store and all the lights are turned off, but slowly, i'm beginning to turn them all on.

I even learned how to program a Merlin Legend here a few minutes ago, via WinSPM. This stuff is really, really basic and easy to get once you play with and research it.
