I have Intuity LX2K N 2.0 11.1 the drive will not open with button or during backup or clicking on eject cd. It has been replaced twice since July. In July the whole Intuity was replaced. I think maybe something in software starts to not work but I can't understand why the button won't open it. Any ideas? I was told to load service pack 2? I can manually open it. Thanks

If youy hold the power button down will it open? If not, then the drive is probably broken. You can probably replace it with a standard IDE CD ROM drive

Did you shove a paper clip in the small hole on the front of the drive? That will open it. Not a perfect solution but if it's just the eject mechanism which is broken, that will at least let you swap CD's, etc..

Yes It will eject with the paper clip. After a manual backup it will eject through the web page 1 out of 3 tries. It still backs up. Never ran across this before. Sometimes the button works to open and close sometimes not.

I attempted to do the service pack last night. I stopped voice, did a complete backup unmount disk, mount the dvd with the two files needed Z7043rfb.zip and IALXR2.0SP2.sp. The intuity would not recognize the dvd. It is a dvd drive. I put one file on a cd still did not recognize it. The backup is on a dvdrw disk. I can see the files on the disks in my pc. I'm thinking this needs to be done from command line not through the web interface page. Any ideas? Thanks
