I have two different trunk groups setup for different circuits for different clients in my organization. Trunk group 1 is AT&T and has the ability to dial outbound local, ld and international. Trunk group 2 is also AT&T and to my knowledge was setup with outbound local and ld (I don't recall testing international during turn up of these circuits). My problem is that I can dial outbound just fine with the circuits in TG1 via my ARS Table and associated route patterns. I have pretty much setup the same call flow pattern in the ARS with different route patterns for my TG2. The problem is that TG2 doesn't allow me to dial international numbers. I'm thinking that these particular circuits were never provisioned for international outbound dialing from the beginning which would make sense why I can't dial from that TG2. The client that is needing this ability and who placed the order from day one has gotten word from AT&T that these circuits are setup for INT'L Outbound Dialing.

Is there a field in the AVAYA Trunk Group Configuration setup or DS1 translations that I need to verify so that it would activate international outbound or should I just point back to AT&T?

Check on that route pattern form AT&T tends to like the setting "natl" instead of "international"...don't ask me why but has alway's worked on our switches.

Typically AT&T does not want to see '011' for International calls. Put a trace up on the TG (list trace tac x) and make an International call. Look for the digits being sent to AT&T. Do the same for the trunk group that is working and compare the traces. If you are sending '011', you can delete the digits in the Route Patterns.
