Hi,

I have a IPO403 v3.0.69 and I have the following strange problem. If one ext. calls another and one of them hangs up, the other will see in the phone "disconnected" and he will get the "busy" tone until he also hangs up. I thought that this is normal (we use in our company an S8500 and it does exactly the same thing), but the client says that 3 weeks ago what happened was, that as soon as one participant hang up, the line closed automatically to the other also. I tried this in a demo kit we have (406V2 v4.0.10) and the "problem" doesn't exist (as soon as one hangs up the other hangs up also). So now I am thinking to upgrade the client's system to version 3.2.. or even maybe to 4.0.., but its something I would rather avoid if possible. Does anybody have any idea about what might be the "problem"?

Thanks

Off hook station" setting in the telephony settings of the user.

Off hook station will disconnect you any time you ring a busy number, it wont give you any busy tone at all.

If you want to hear if a number is busy when you ring it, off hook station will not do that.

In the release "family" 4.0.... there is in the system telephony tab a setting called "disconnect tone". I chose "off" in this and it did the trick. I didn't manage to find this setting in earlier releases.
