An associate of mine purchased an hp with win xp pre-installed. This machine has the modem, nic and video integrated on the motherboard.
He needs to run win98 because of an application that runs poorly on anything but win98. After removing XP he installed win98SE. Windows will not install the modem, or nic and the video is funky. Also windows is only reporting a portion of his hard drive capacity. Is there something special that needs to be done to get windows 98 to recognize the integrated devices. Is this an HP problem?
Thank you
