Hello - bit of a newbie, so I appreciate all help offered.

I have a sub-form (subfrmrent) that records the various payments our clients (frmClients) in a homelessness hostel make - this is straightforward.

I want to automate the process of charging their weekly rent, due every Monday, and can't think how to do it. This would mean that after midnight on a Sunday, a new record would be created with £xx.xx (currency) as the default value in the 'Weekly Rent' field. In this way, a rent statement would be produced, with a record for every week of their stay.

Any ideas? Many thanks.

1. Create an Update query to insert the record(s) into the relevant table (SQL takes the form INSERT INTO tablename...)

2. Create a macro with two actions, run the query, then quit the database.

3. Use something like the Handy Access Launcher ( to schedule the macro to run in an automated fashion, to a timed schedule of your choosing.

Top banana - its going to take me a bit of time, but I'll let you know how I get on.

A star for you!

Many thanks.
