Hi,
When I boot a SPARCserver 20 MP after a overnight shutdown, it goes into diagnostic mode (diag-switch? set to true automatically) and it tries to boot from net.
After doing diag-switch = false and reset and shutdown and then reboot it boots okay. It shows the date and time of the last shutdown, that is it does not change date & time.
Does it mean that NVRAM battery is playing up, which sends the boot into mess.
or, PROM chip problem or, battery discharge problem (needs update PROM version)???
How do I change battery??, Would I be able to do it myself??.
If PROM chip needs replacement from sun, aprox. how much will it cost???
Any help and suggestions are appreciated.
Regds,
Anita
