I have a SIP line that when I change the outgoing CID to show the main number, the DID stops working on incoming calls.

I changed the CID by going under: SIP Line> SIP URI and SIP Credentials to enter the CID info for outgoing calls.

I have pointed the incoming call route to the correct extension and a DID is assigned to each User under: User> Sip tab> and the DID number under the SIP name.

This is my first SIP line setup so any help is much appreciated, Thanks! :)

Change the way you do it.

Set the SIP trunk uri different

Use user data

Then on every user you set the DDI you want them to have.
Keep in mind that every DDI must be configured in the system.
If you have more DDI's then users and groups then you have to build virtual users or groups.
But that is the only downside as changing these URI's for users and groups do not need a reboot and on the SIP trunk it does.

You can change the immediate to merge on trunk changes like this and it still works Peter :)

I don't like changing it to merge while it needs a reboot.
I once did that and the IPO thought it has it;s own life and rebooted 15 minutes later anyways without anything going on.
Trace was running and it just did a clean reboot.
I had never seen that so i just reboot when needed.

I have set the SIP URI to user data and the user has an assigned DDI, but doesn't that make it to where the DDI is shown instead of the main number of the business? I don't want the DDI shown on CID, just the main number and name of the company.

Then you need to set the main DDI but then you must be sure that the other DDI's are assigned somewhere like on groups as they do not send numbers.

Now when you are talking the main DDI, is that the one I assigned to the Main hunt group?

If you did then yes you can do that.
But stop using DDI and start talking about URI's :)
The incoming call route does do the routing.
The URI's just need to be on the system and the users URI's are used for the outbound CLI.
So two things to keep in mind.

1 all URI's must be configured on the system, users or groups or on the SIP trunk.
2 outgoing CLI is configured on the users's SIP URI settings.
