We have been given a new range of DDI's by our provider but I cannot match up the last 4 digits to a free range on our 4 digit dial plan, so I was trying to use ICHT to re-route the dialled DDI to a different extension.

Here's the setup:-
Provider gave us DDI starting xx-x28-9700 going up to xx-x28-9799
The internal range I want to use is 6300 to 6399.
In the ICHT table for Trunk 8 where it is terminated with a TAC of 88, public-netwrk setting I have entered the following:-
INCOMING CALL HANDLING TREATMENT
Service/ Called Called Del Insert Per Call Night
Feature Len Number CPN/BN Serv
public-ntwrk 9 018289730 all 6330

I am still getting an engaged tone even though when I ring the extension internally it is fine. What am I doing wrong here? On CM3.1 on Avaya 87xx servers.

list trace tac xxx on incoming call and watch the incoming digits sent from your provider. These must match your programming exactly.

I am guessing they are not sending 018289730, but maybe 9730

public-ntwrk length 4 called # 9730 delete 4 insert 6330

Bingo!! Checked the trace and it was only presenting the 4 digits 9730, so I changed the entry in the ICHT table to this and it works fine. Thanks for the quick response!

one entry used to delete 2 then insert 63 will take care of 100 extensions
