Importing from Ip Office V1 to V2

Hi

Just a general question . Iam due to change out a V1 ip office currently on 6.1 with a new V2
control unit and upgrade to latest software on new control unit. The current system has 3 DS30
modules and 4 slots in use on the control unit. I have a few slots to move about on the control
unit and relapce alog for dig 8 etc. They want all the phones to come up as No user and log in
via hotdesk without a password. Is it a good idea for me to import all the users from the V1 switch
along with short codes / huntgps etc or would it be advisable just to program the new contol unit
from scratch. Any advice appreciated. Normally prog from scratch but with there being over 100 users
thinking about the import tool...

first I have to say that you don't seem to have a lot (or better almost no) experience with IPO and you should have the number of a good technician handy when you do this.
Second, just upload the config of the R6.1 into the new box and you should be ok as long as you have the new license keys for the SD number and upload them and also get the upgrade license or the essential edition license new if you go with newest release.

Its alot more than just a few slots etc. You need to determine which if any licenses you need to transfer (or if they can be transferred) are they DS30v1 or V2 there is a lot more than just programming the users involved here. Take my suggestion get a good technician to assist you with the install any of the people here can remote in and better that you watch then attempt to wing it its not as simple as it looks
