Hi ,
I am quite new to IPO and i am trying to reload the config from one SoE to another..(since the first has bad ports)...but the issue is that the "import" action merges the config with default one and does not over-write the default...so now i have duplicated trunks, stations etc and it seesm it does not change fields like system>voicemail???
Can some one throw light in this darkness!!

Don't do an import

Using the correct version of the manager (any 3.2 version equal or higher to the software version on the old unit is ok)

Take a fresh copy of the config from the knackered unit ans save it on the laptop

reconnect to the new unit (ensure that it is at the same (or higher 3.2) software level as the old unit)

Using manager open the saved file, the use File -> Advanced -> Send Config. This will prompt you for passwords etc and then write the config to the new unit.

Test, pack up laptop and go home!

Take Care
