That family was on Americas Funniest Videos & won the $10,000 episode prize and I believe went on to win the $100,000 series grand prize.

When I first saw it on AFV I was laughing along with them. I have a video of my first grandson doing the same with me.

[Cheers]

Cool! I must have missed those episodes (of AFV). I showed the video to my 14-month grand daughter just now and she sounded just like one of the quads! Whadda hoot!

They just made me smile, but some of your posts really make me laugh out loud! I guess I am not ready for some professional attention yet.

hahaha LOL!! .. I laugh out loud with the video... you know, I'm a father of 2 children, and they make me laugh with only their smiles!

Very cool video.

Out of curiosity, are you a parent?

All:
Although the sound of my own kids laughing is the best sound in the world, the sound of ANY kid laughing is wonderful.

It was pretty scary considering she has only 2 hands...

Nope... And, to be honest, I'm quite happy with that situation.

Apart from being in a same-sex relationship, and so having great difficulty getting Jeff pregnant (but it's fun trying *grin*), I find kids draining, tedious, noisy, irritating, and constantly needing attention, and I just don't have the personality right now to be able to deal with that or give that level of attention.

Don't get me wrong - maybe at some point in the future, who knows. But right now? I'm very happy without!

P.S. Who needs sleepless nights. I'll have enough of those when I'm 70 and having to pee 5 times a night ;-)

You are damn right, but I can't see my life without my kids... I need to hear them laughing and saying me "dad". You don't know how that irritating noise fill my life.

Cheers.

Different strokes for different folks...I had six kids (ages 6 and under), all now adults, and they have always been my best friends, always rather well behaved and lots of fun to be with (and passing along that fun to their children).

But, on the other side of the coin, if you one's perception of children is "draining, tedious, noisy, irritating, and constantly needing attention...", then I would hate for anyone with that perception to even think about having kids. Dan, for example, is finding joy and fulfillment in his life, and that's how it should be...

So, the "Kid Lovers" should raise kids; the others shouldn't. Am I right?

To paraphrase Bill Cosby:

Why do my wife and I have two kids?

Because we do not want three.

BillyRayPreachersSon is right. Kids are draining, tedious, noisy, irritating, and constantly needing attention. But I wouldn't have it any other way -- anything worth doing is worth working for.

I would have bet good money that your answer to my question was going to be in the negative.

Maybe your original post should therefore have said:

"If this link does not make you at least smile (if not chuckle), and you are a parent, or going to become one at anytime soon, then you probably need some professional attention."

Although I think labelling someone as "needing professional attention" just because they aren't amused by the same things as you is a bit off.

Dan,

You are absolutely right...And I was certainly being facetious about the "...needing professional attention..." stuff.[2thumbsup]

I didn't like it, but I don't like children, puppies, kittens etc. I just can't see the attraction.

childless as yet, but the biggest laugh I got from that was the kid on her right shoulder attempting to display momma's assets to the world at large, or so she thought ... how can she tell the difference, to know which one to bear a grudge against ? :)
