I'm playing with IE7 and have noticed that Tek Tips doesn't display properly on the thread list page, instead of seeing '6 Responces' in the responces column i only get '6 Re' it seems like half of the column is missing.

Does anyone else see this.

Yes. This is normal for IE7 beta2. I haven't tried Beta 3 yet, but it's a css issue that should be fixed before production release.

Actually after doing some research the newest release is the 'official' beta2

Yes, that was driving me nuts too. You have IE7 Beta2 Preview installed. The recently release Beta 2 resolves this issue.

I hope you find this post helpful.

Regards,

Mark

You are right i only installed it a few days ago the new beta must of arrived just after. TT once again displays in all it's glory.

Cheers.

Another minor niggle.

Since installing IE7 i can't seem to copy a local profile, if i logon as another local admin and try to copy a profile i am told 'Cannot create or replace AntiPhishing: Access is denied'.

Anyone seen this?

It seems to be when it tries to copy the C:\Documents and Settings\username\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files folder. When i check the folder is empty.

I've got to the bottom of the last problem. When IE7 is install it seems to install a folder called AntiPhishing in the temp internet folder (poss only after you enable the toolbar). It seems that no one has permissions to this folder so if you wish to delete or move your profile you need to take ownership of it.

C:\Documents and Settings\username\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\AntiPhishing

Anyone else noticed this?

I don't normall copy profiles, so no I had not come across this one.

I hope you find this post helpful.

Regards,

Mark

No i don't make a habit of it but we do have a script that clears local profiles on certain boxes and i can forsee problems here.
