Hi everyone,
I'm delighted to find such a great site.
I have been 'lurking' for a little while and love the compact and exact nature of both question and reply.
I recently downloaded Jave from Sun Microsystems at the reccomendation of a particular site which said the chat applet could not work properly and maybe I had an incorrect or outdateed version of Jave.
I did so but the applet didn't open after that so I disabled it from the task bar.
It might be a coincidence but since then I am unable to open in a new window...either by my right click selection to do so, or on sites which automatically open in a new window.
It seems as if the address is not being passed on and I read a message that reccomended running a group of dll's to see what happened.
On one of them I recieved the following message...
"Shell 32 dll was loaded but the dll register server entry point was not found.
DLL register server may not be exported or a corrupt version of shell 32 dll; may be in memory. Consider using Pview to detect and remove it."
This is all too much for me and I considered deleting IE6 and re-installing it but thought that it might be possible that there is a simple solution to someone with the appropriate knowledge of IE6 so here I am.
I would be very grateful for any advice or help with this as, naturally, you can imagine how many sites are now..'unavailable'.
Thanks to all
