Ie 5.5 doesn't work 2

Hi, recently after tweaking my modem, all hell broke loose. After opening ie 5.5 with a connection to the interet, the illegal operation box popped up. And i am unable to get anywhere because of that. Even if i get passed the box without closing ie i get the " page cannot be displayed " message. Could someone please help me? i'm in an internet cafe right now and i need a solution fast.

You could try running the IE5.5 setup from Add/Remove Programs, and choose 'Repair'. You never know, it might just work...

& in the search bar looked for "How to Uninstall Internet Explorer 5.5 It worked like a charm. I installed IE5.01 with Service Pack 1, now I am told to upgrade the service pack to 2. The title page says: Finally, an IE Upgrade You Don't Have to Fear! IE 5.01 SP2 is not related to Internet Explorer 5.5, which has been the source of widely reported problems for some Windows 98 users. I hope this helps you? sawhorse

Hmmm, I haven't noticed any problems with IE 5.5 (I guess that's the beta release for IE 6.0) aside from the inability to find a printer or a modem or a computer.

Hey, you have to give Microsoft a bit of levity here. It's trying really hard to make our computing experience almost equal to the offerings from the open-source gurus.

YO! I don't mind paying a little more to be a lab rat. I just want to be a top-notch lab rat. I want to be a lab rat with racing stripes. I want to be a lab rat with a vodka/straight and a view of the beach. (I contacted MS earlier today and I was assured that I might receive at least or less than the objects of my desire.)

Good enough for me. Bring on the final release.
