We have an odd problem. We purchased a couple dozen 5330e phone (with GB nics). All our other phones are 5330 phones.
If a use is logged in to hotdesk they are logged out less than 64 hours later (they leave at 5pm on friday and they are logged out by the time they come in at 8am on Monday). This only happens with the 5330e phones. There are no issues with the other. I have looked at the switch logs to see if the phone is rebooting and it doesnt appear so. Just the user is logged out when the come in Monday morning.

Thoughts?
Thanks!

For the base numbers (device) that you are logging into (5330e) do you have 5330 or 5330e specified on the dropdown? If 5330 change one to 5330e and see if problem re-surfaces.

Acutally we dont have the option of 5330e.
Our 3300 is runing 4.2 SP2.

Hmmmm. Someone else please chime in. Could this be a problem, or a non-issue? Thanks.

Ok, assuming that you are using the same COS on 5330 users and 5330e users (dont forget that with hotdesk users the COS changes with the log in) then I would say its unlikely to be a configuration issue and more likely a firmware issues.

Bobcheese is on the right track. As long as the COS is the same on both phones.
Are the 5330e users part of a queue? If so are they receiving calls that the other phones would not?

Nope.. not part of a queue.
Really we just added them as IP device only like we do with normal 5330s.
The users who log in have no issues when logged in to another phone.

So verified with "upper" mgmt.
We are upgrading the 3300 next month. I will let you know what happens with the phones.

Thanks

Drew

A loss of power will log out the users. Any chance of power loss? Otherwise you might find the upgrade fixes your issue.

An apple a day keeps the doctor away. Anyone else and you need to throw it harder.

Thanks loopy.
SInce they are POE phones I would see them linkdown/up and reassociate with the switches.
I dont see that so I am guessing the phone isnt rebooting.. just logging the user out.
