I have set up and IDC table for a customer and a call comes in(idc-2000 to x-6000) and rings the phone as P6000, but after 4 rings it doesn't go to voicemail, but to operator(default)?
Ex. x-6000 is the extension and it is built in Voicemail.
What does the "P" mean? and how do I get Voicemail to answer the call.
Any suggestions?
Thank you

not 100% sure about the "P" but IDC intercept can happen if there are invalid digits, a busy station, or Call Forward.

maybe it's just invalid digits you are converting to....?

Have you stood by the phone to hear it ringing or are you just listening when making the call and assuming it is ringing?
Can you print out the Phone and the IDC entry and post please?

I will post print outs, calls can be answered, just after 4the rings hits VM,but not mailbox, only default.

I figured it out, the display of the incoming call was # xxx-xxx-xxxx Pxxxx, P means special character of identifying digits received(conversion #). In the RDB I changed DEXT to NO on the IDC tree and only receive xxx-xxx-xxxx, without the "P" in front of the DN. It works now, voicemail must not of recognized the Pxxxx and defaulted to default (Auto Att.)
Voicemail in answering the calls now in mailbox.
